7-Day Journaling Challenge – Reset and Realign with Your Goals

Whether you’re brand new to journaling or have dabbled with it a few times but not quite got into the swing of it, this challenge is for you! You’ve been missing out on self-discovery, manifesting, and mindset growth… but not anymore. This 7-day journaling challenge is designed to help you create a clear, consistent habit of journaling. Doing this will allow you to build confidence and take control of your life. All you need is a pen and paper and 5 minutes to invest in yourself each day.

How the 7-Day Journaling Challenge Works

For the next week, you will set aside 5–10 minutes each day to answer the daily prompts. These prompts are designed specifically to help you realign with your current self and where you want to go. The key to getting the most out of this challenge is to write freely and remember there are no right or wrong answers. Try not to worry too much about spelling or even writing in perfect sentences. The aim is to dive deep and get your inner feelings down on paper. Be as honest as you can. The only person you’re doing this for is yourself, so don’t hold back. If you’re worried about anyone seeing your journal, you could always use a digital journal instead. When you have completed the challenge, you will have a better relationship and understanding of who you are and how your mind works. If you enjoyed the challenge, you can always carry it on and allow it to become part of your self-care ritual.

The 7-Day Journaling Challenge

Day 1: Gratitude Grounding

We are kickstarting the challenge with gratitude. Being grateful for what we have right now is one of the best ways to start rewiring our minds to look for the good in every situation.
What are 5 things you’re truly grateful for right now—and why?

Day 2: Future You Vision

Where are you going? It’s time to get super clear on where you want to go and what you want to achieve.
What does your dream life look like 1 year from now? Describe it in detail as if it’s already yours.

Day 3: Release + Reset

You can’t move forward clinging onto the past. In order to make space for our new lives, we need to let go of any limiting beliefs or negative energy.
What’s one belief, habit, or fear you’re ready to let go of—and what will you choose to believe instead?

Day 4: Self-Love Check-In

Loving yourself is so important. We rarely reflect on our great qualities, so today we are doing just that.
What do you love about who you are today? Celebrate your strengths and uniqueness.

Day 5: Money Mindset Shift

Money makes the world go round. Love it or hate it, you can’t get away from it. Your relationship with money will affect so many aspects of your life. So today, let’s understand our money mindset.
What’s your current relationship with money—and how would you like it to feel instead?

Day 6: Success Reframe

Do you see success as a flashy watch and a racecar? Some people might view this as success, but success comes in so many forms. Knowing what it means to be successful to you could be having the time to spend with your children or being able to pay all of your bills.
What does success really mean to you? What would it look like on your terms—not society’s?

Day 7: Manifestation Magic

Manifestation is such a crazy thing that works so well for helping you get what you want out of life.
Write a letter from your future self thanking you for not giving up. What did you achieve? How did it feel?

Why Do I Need to Journal Every Day?

Taking the time every day to journal allows you to build a consistent habit. Over time, you will feel more comfortable with it and be able to dive deeper inside your mind. At first, you may not be able to get the answers you are really looking for, as it may feel awkward. But the more you do it, the better results you will get.

What Is the Point of Journaling?

Journaling allows you to connect with your inner self, a part of us that the majority of us ignore. By asking yourself questions you usually wouldn’t, you really get to know yourself. The process of writing down how you feel allows you to really think about the answers instead of them flying about inside your mind.

When Should I Journal?

If you can find a time during the day where you can make it part of your routine, the habit of journaling will become much easier for you. When you pick random times of the day, it’s easy to get to the end of the day and completely forget about it. So try your best to be consistent.

Final Thoughts

The 7-day journaling challenge is just an introduction to the habit of journaling. Hopefully, you gain some insights on how to journal and what you can get out of it. Becoming the best version of you doesn’t happen by accident, and understanding yourself will help you get there much faster. Remember, the more you journal, the more you will discover. Keep writing and discovering your true self.
