How to Achieve Multiple Goals at Once

Most goal setting gurus tell you to just focus on one goal until you have completed it. But if like me you have more than one goal you REALLY want to achieve then this guide is for you. I hate feeling like I’m wasting time putting my goals on hold just to pick one so today I’m going to teach you how to get to work and achieve multiple goals at once.

Why Juggling Multiple Goals Is Possible

Most people think focusing on one goal at a time is the only way to succeed at your goal. However if you use smart planning and the right mindset, you can make progress on several goals at the same time without feeling overwhelmed. And by doing this you will achieve your goals much sooner than if you had put them on the back burner.

Step 1: Get Clear on Your Goals

Knowing what you want to achieve is the first step to success. Clarity on your goals will help you understand where you are going. Having a clear list of goals and the timeframes you want to achieve them in will make your goals start to feel more like plans. In addition to what you want to achieve and when you want to achieve it, knowing why you want to achieve something will help you persevere when times get tough.

Step 2: Break Goals Into Manageable Steps

Look at your goals and set the smaller goals apart from the bigger ones. With your big goals we are going to break them down into smaller actionable steps that you can add into your weekly schedule. By breaking the big goals down into smaller ones it helps keep us focused and moving forward towards our goals while also giving us motivation when we achieve each step.

Step 3: Find Overlapping Actions

When picking the goals you want to work towards at the same time try to find tasks you can do which benefit more than one of your goals. For example, learning time management can help both career and personal growth goals. So this could be something you want to really focus on. There are so many tasks like this that have more than 1 benefit such as drinking water benefits, health, skin, and mindset.

Step 4: Schedule and Prioritize

When you’re ambitious and have multiple goals at once, getting organised so you have enough time dedicated to each one is the only way you will be able to achieve everything. Use a planner or digital calendar to block time for each goal during the week and try create a consistent time block each week for each goal. If some of your goals have deadlines prioritise them by giving them more time or a better time slot when you know you have more energy.

Step 5: Build Consistent Habits

When aiming for more than one goal at a time consistency is key. Adding in daily habits into your regular routine helps you chip away at your goals. Small, consistent actions add up much faster than occasional big efforts. Once you create a routine that supports your goals you will effortlessly see progress overtime.

Step 6: Avoid Perfection and Stay Flexible

Perfectionism holds us back from achieving the big dreams we have in life. Taking steps towards your goals doesn’t need to be perfect. Each day will look different to the last but as long as you make some progress you will be on the pathway to success. Some days you’ll focus more on one goal, other days on another. Flexibility is your friend and it may take a little bit of time to figure out what works best for you.

Step 7: Celebrate Small Wins

Feeling positive and celebrating when you achieve even the tiniest of your goals will help boost your motivation levels and encourage you to keep going for bigger challenges. Every effort you put towards working on your goals even if you have a spare 10 minutes will help you push forward.

You have all the power and ability to achieve goals across all areas in life at the same time. Keep focused and plan out how you want your life to look and how you are going to get there. When you put in consistent effort then you will see amazing results.
