How to Become That Girl

That girl is a trend ALL over the internet right now, you know the girl who wakes up early, eats healthy, journals etc. etc. That girl has it all together and the best life. If this seems a million miles away from your life right now, it’s time to flip the switch. Girls like this who have their lives together first of all don’t, and are still working to achieve their goals and dreams, but the only difference about them is that they are super intentional about their lives. And you can be too.

Step 1: Start With Your Mindset

A strong, positive mindset is the foundation of becoming that girl. Add in mindset-strengthening habits to your day like journaling, affirmations, and gratitude. When you practice these habits on a regular basis, you will start to notice shifts in how you view the world around you (more positively).

Girls that seem to have it all together ooze confidence in their lives and believe that they deserve the best. Your thoughts and beliefs about yourself are a choice. It’s not easy to change them, but it is possible. Become really aware of how you internally speak to yourself. Do you build yourself up by complimenting yourself throughout the day, or constantly tear yourself down?

Start today by acting as if you already are that girl (because you actually ARE her). Think about how she behaves and how she speaks to herself.

Step 2: Level Up Your Morning Routine

Creating a morning routine is one of the best ways to kick-start your day. By building a regular routine, you can add in all of the habits you want to start doing each day but always forget to do. By using habit stacking, you can create a routine that flows from one task to the next without thinking about it.

For example, if you always forget to take your vitamins but drink a coffee every morning, have them straight after and let the coffee be a signal to you to take your vitamins next.

A morning routine is also great because it helps you check off multiple tasks first thing, leaving you feeling super accomplished before you have even left the house. This sense of accomplishment will follow you throughout your day, allowing you to smash through even more of your to-do lists!

Step 3: Move Your Body Daily

That girl has the body of dreams… And how does she do that, you ask… she moves her body every day! Oh, and she doesn’t hate doing it!

Exercise is so important not only for how we look and feel about our bodies but also to strengthen them. Having a strong, healthy body is something that can be fun to achieve. If you hate running, then guess what—you don’t have to run. There are so many forms of exercise that you might find fun and that don’t even feel like exercise, such as dance, swimming, walking, horse riding.

Experiment with different classes and find something that you ENJOY! Once you have found a way to work out that you love, finding a regular time slot for it will make it easier for you to attend. Having non-negotiable timings will help take the thinking out of whether you should go or not. If you start asking yourself if you should go today or tomorrow, your brain will always pick tomorrow.

Step 4: Nourish Your Body

Feeling good starts from within. If you eat junk food for every meal, you’re not going to be living your best life and performing at the best you can. Your body needs fuel—focus on whole, healthy foods that make you feel good and that you enjoy eating.

If you’re just getting started, setting fun targets like eating 5 a day every day or no sweet treats are fun challenges you can set yourself.

When you eat better, it impacts everything. Your mind becomes clearer and more focused, your gut feels better and no more bloating, your skin is brighter, and your health will improve so much. There are so many amazing benefits to eating better, and this is something you can start implementing right now.

Step 5: Romanticize Your Life

Romanticizing your life is a game changer. Learning to love even the mundane tasks in your life by adding a touch of joy to them changes everything.

If you work from home, play some relaxing music as you work or get some mood lighting to match your vibe of the day. Lighting candles when you want to relax is also a great way to add a touch of romance to your life.

You can take yourself out on fun dates to get to know yourself and take photos every day of things that bring you joy. Searching for beauty in boring, everyday activities changes how you see the world and, most importantly, changes your world.

Step 6: Limit Digital Distractions

Do you think that girl spends 3 hours a day doom-scrolling… no, she does not.

In today’s society, it’s so easy for us to slip into wasting 3 hours of our day on our phones, sometimes even more. But what if I asked you to spend 3 hours a day working on your business idea? I bet you’d say you don’t have time. Yet we give away so much of our precious time without even thinking about it.

Learn to take back your time and put it to work on something that means something to you.
